Rescue efforts after Afghanistan earthquake kills more than 800 – video
A magnitude-6 earthquake hit eastern Afghanistan at about midnight on Sunday, triggering landslides and flooding. Searches for survivors were hampered as roads to affected areas were destroyed or blocked by rubble in a region where the terrain is steep and treacherous. Several aftershocks were reported through the night and into Monday morning
