Protest that began over extradition bill sees citizens come out against government for seventh weekend

Thousands of demonstrators marched in Hong Kong on Sunday, marking the latest unrest in a political movement that shows few signs of slowing.

There were cheers as demonstrators streamed out of Hong Kong’s Victoria park, winding toward the city centre. Protesters called: “Go Hong Kong!” and held signs that said: “No extradition to China” – in reference to the controversial extradition bill that has caused the city’s largest political crisis in decades.
