British pilot returns home from Vietnam after Covid-19 ordeal

Stephen Cameron spent 10 weeks on a ventilator and was warned he might need a double lung transplant

A British pilot who spent more than two months on life support in Vietnam after contracting Covid-19 is on his way home, astounding doctors who gave him a 10% chance of survival.

Stephen Cameron, 42, was the sickest patient medics have treated during the coronavirus outbreak in the country, which has recorded no official deaths, following a fast and proactive response to the pandemic.
