London negotiations end with plan to extend truce, pending approval of Donald Trump and Xi Jinping
The US and China have extended the truce in their trade war after two days of talks in London that resulted in a “framework” deal over export restrictions on rare earths and semiconductors.
Negotiations will continue to resolve the wider tariff war triggered by Donald Trump in April will continue but they have called a halt to the row over the restricted supply of Chinese rare-earth materials to the US and semiconductors from the US to China.
