South Korea’s impeached president, Yoon Suk Yeol, was arrested on charges of insurrection stemming from his 3 December declaration of martial law. In a video message recorded before he was escorted to the headquarters of the anti-corruption agency, Yoon said the rule of law in the country had ‘completely collapsed’.
