Trump\u2019s fraying of that alliance could create the opening it needs<\/p>\n<p>According to Kaja Kallas, the European Union\u2019s foreign affairs chief, China and Russia must be having a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2026\/jan\/18\/europe-diplomats-crisis-talks-trump-tariffs-greenland\">field day<\/a>\u201d about Donald Trump\u2019s plans for Greenland, which Kallas says will divide Nato.<\/p>\n<p>But according to Trump, his plans are motivated by a desire to counter the very threat that Kallas identified. \u201cWorld peace is at stake!
