Kapadia\u2019s storytelling has something of Satyajit Ray\u2019s The Big City and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/film\/2002\/jul\/26\/culture.reviews\"> Days and Nights of the Forest<\/a>; it is so fluent and absorbing.<\/p>\n<p>All We Imagine As Light is the story of three nurses in modern-day Mumbai: Prabha (Kani Kusruti), Anu (Divya Prabha) and Parvaty (Chhaya Kadam). Each has come to the big city from smaller home towns. Prabha and the younger, flightier Anu are roommates and Anu (having only just moved in) is already asking the more sober and sensible Prabha to cover her share of the rent. She is also causing some scandal among the more gossipy elements of the hospital on account of her Muslim boyfriend, Shiaz (Hridu Haroon).
