Each time, he looks to see if the flood water has receded. Each time, he returns disappointed.<\/p>\n<p>This has been Ali\u2019s routine since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2022\/oct\/12\/pakistan-floods-impact-years-crops-farms\">catastrophic floods<\/a> hit Pakistan last year. \u201cWe lost everything,\u201d says the father of 10. \u201cWe can\u2019t go back now as our homes are still flooded and villages are inundated.
