Wherever you are in Taiwan \u2013 be it three beers deep at a city bar, floating in the Taiwan Strait, or hauling yourself up a mountain \u2013 you\u2019ll still hear the tinny, off-key classical jingle, and it will trigger a Pavlovian surge of panic: I have to take the bins out.<\/p>\n<p>In the last few decades, Taiwan has transformed itself from \u201cgarbage island\u201d to one of the world\u2019s best managers of household trash, and it\u2019s done so with a soundtrack.
