Like any other day in paradise, the water was packed with early morning surfers and the sand littered with beach-goers. This morning, however, was different.<\/p>\n<p>One day earlier, Indonesia\u2019s parliament <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2022\/dec\/06\/indonesia-passes-legislation-banning-sex-outside-marriage\">confirmed that sex outside marriage<\/a> would be outlawed in a draconian overhaul of the country\u2019s criminal code.
