It sounds like a dream job. But despite the considerable perks, New Zealand\u2019s Department of Conservation has been struggling to attract candidates to be their new <a href=\"https:\/\/careers.doc.govt.nz\/jobs\/DOC-40007460H\">biodiversity supervisor<\/a> in Haast on the wild, remote coast of the South Island. Now, the region\u2019s search is going global.<\/p>\n<p>The job is based in Te W\u0101hipounamu \u2013 an area encompassing 26,000 square kilometres of mountain ranges, isolated beaches and native forests, classed as a Unesco World Heritage Area in 1990.
