It is the sole tree on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.doc.govt.nz\/parks-and-recreation\/places-to-go\/southland\/places\/subantarctic-islands\/campbell-island\/\">shrubby, windswept island<\/a>, 700 kilometres south of New Zealand in the Southern Ocean.
