News outlets condemned the US, suggesting it was a breach of the \u201cone-China principle\u201d and that Joe Biden was \u201chypocritical\u201d in saying he was unable to rein in the House speaker. For a few days, this message echoed across the country\u2019s news outlets.<\/p>\n<p>The fury resonated online through the writings of pundits and military bloggers. \u201cThe old witch,\u201d some called Pelosi. \u201cThe old American woman,\u201d others referred to her. Hu Xijin, a nationalist firebrand and former editor of the Global Times, even advised Chinese jets to obstruct Pelosi\u2019s plane.
