Since the Taliban took over, women who worked in the police force have been targeted for <a href=\"https:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/2021\/09\/06\/asia\/taliban-afghanistan-pregnant-policewoman-murder-intl\/index.html\">assassination<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2021\/nov\/14\/i-loved-my-job-in-the-police-then-the-taliban-came-for-me\">beatings<\/a>. She believes Taliban officials are particularly focused on tracking her down because of both her seniority<\/em><em> and her role recruiting other women.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I fled to another city just two days after the country fell to the Taliban, because I knew they were looking for me in my home province.
