But she cannot exercise that right until the home secretary says she can, even if that is never. That seems to be the nub of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.uk\/cases\/docs\/uksc-2020-0156-judgment.pdf\">supreme court decision <\/a>granting victory to the Home Office over its decision to ban the \u201cjihadi bride\u201d from entering Britain <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/uk-news\/2021\/feb\/26\/shamima-begum-cannot-return-to-uk-to-fight-for-citizenship-court-rules\">on \u201csecurity\u201d grounds<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the legal issues lie deeper political and moral questions. To refuse entry to Begum is not simply to keep her out of Britain.
